Ames Street Streetscape Improvements Project Working Schedule 10.09.2024 Update
General sequence of construction work will be from west (Dexter St./US-31) to east (Bass St.) on north side of Ames St with the right-of-way. Intermediate work along the route may occur and two-way traffic will be maintained. Work along this route is expected to occur throughout the remaining 2024 construction season.
PUBLIC NOTICE: Elk Rapids Downtown Development Authority Biannual Informational Meeting
In accordance with Act 57 of 2018, the "Recodified Tax Increment Financing Act," the Elk Rapids Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will present its biannual report to the Village Council at a public informational meeting. The meeting will take place as follows:

This meeting serves as one of the two required annual informational meetings. The DDA will discuss the capture and use of tax increment revenues within the district. This meeting is open to the public, and all interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Rural Task force Local County Meeting for Call for Projects
The Antrim County Rural Task Force will have a public meeting at 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at the Antrim County Road Commission - 319 E Lincoln St, Mancelona, MI 49659 to answer the Rural Task Force Call for Projects.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss proposed road construction and transit projects to be included in the 2026-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the expenditure of Federal Surface Transportation funds. We will be reviewing the projects listed on the current TIP and considering any changes that may be proposed. If you have projects, please bring them to the meeting with a description and completed data sheet.

Village Council Meeting & Workshop - Harbor Visioning Session
Please join us on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. for the Village Council Meeting and Workshop, which will focus on another Harbor Visioning Session with Edgewater Resources. We encourage the public to attend to provide input and feedback to help shape the future development of the Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor. Labor Day Brush Pick-Up
The Department of Public Works will be starting brush pick-up on Tuesday, September 3rd due to the observance of Labor Day.
Pickleball Courts NOW OPEN at Veterans Memorial Park
Responding to the Parks & Recreation Commission’s 5-year plan survey, which revealed numerous requests for more Pickleball courts in the village, four dedicated Pickleball Courts are now open at Veterans Memorial Park.
The courts are open for play from dawn until dusk, seven days a week. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and play is restricted to 1 1/2 hours when others are waiting. No commercial activity or paid athletic services are allowed on the courts.
Come out and enjoy the fast-growing sport in America on these beautiful new courts!
