WELCOME TO THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

The Elk Rapids Zoning Board of Appeals is established in accordance with Article VI of Act 110 of the Public Acts of 2006, as amended, being the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act. The Zoning Board of Appeals – commonly referred to as the “ZBA” – performs its duties as set forth in the Elk Rapids Zoning Code 2018.  The ZBA handles all appeals, interpretations, variances, and exceptions to the Zoning and Unified Development Code.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Government Center (315 Bridge St., Elk Rapids, MI 49629).
