Here is the report that Village Manager Bryan Gruesbeck presented to Village Council on June 20, 2022 at the regular meeting:

  • Solar Panels at WWTP: PowerHome Solar has been purchased. The company is now called “PinkEnergy”. Everything else about our relations is expected to remain the same. Consumers energy made the interconnection to the transformer on June 9, 2022. An electrical component is needed to complete the installation and should be delivered during the week of June 20, 2022. The solar panels are expected to be commissioned during the week of July 6, 2022 – However, the delivery is dependent on current supply chain challenges – a familiar issue for all of us, unfortunately.
  • Mitchell Drive Water and Sewer Improvements: I have been working with Gosling Czubak to determine financing options for replacing water main and installing new sewer main in Mitchell Drive. I anticipate bringing this discussion to the Village Council during its regular meeting scheduled for July 5, 2022.
  • Bridge Street Housing Project: Staff has been securing services for a survey of the two Bridget Street parcels adjacent to the Government Center. We have also met with Dianne Richter who has been working with the community gardeners on relocating the garden to a new location. Work continues on the creation of a Request for Proposals (RFP) and I anticipate presenting it to the Village Council for review during the regular July 5, 2022 meeting.
