SURVEY: OPEN WATER SAFETY LESSONS INTEREST FORM

SWIMMING LESSONS INTEREST SURVEY

The Village of Elk Rapids will be offering Open Water Swimming/Safety Lessons. Classes will run for 3 weeks with 2 lessons per week. In addition, there will be 2 clinics on Saturdays (one for teenagers and one for adults). The tentative schedule is afternoons during the week with session 1 running from July 11th until the 30th and session 2 running from August 1st until the 20th.

Classes will be designed for ages and abilities based on general interest. To get an idea of community interest, please complete the “Open Water Safety Interest Form” online at elkrapids.org or a paper form at the Elk Rapids Government Center, 315 Bridge Street, Elk Rapids, MI 49629. Surveys are due on Tuesday, June 28th no later than noon.

Once classes are designed based on ages and abilities, the schedule will be posted on elkrapids.org and advertised in the newspaper. The public will be able to sign students up Tuesday July 5th at 9:00 a.m. through Friday July 8th no later than 3:00 p.m. Students will be admitted to classes based on the order that applications were received.
