The Village of Elk Rapids Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, at the Governmental Center, 315 Bridge Street, at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider and receive citizen input on, Proposed Ordinance 2022-07: Hotels and motels.

The Village of Elk Rapids ordains to amend The Village of Elk Rapids ordains to amend CHAPTER 44 ZONING – Article I. – In General, Section 44-5. Definitions and Article VI. – Site Development Standards, Section 44- 156. Hotels and Motels for the purpose of detailing the requirements of hotels within the Village of Elk Rapids, to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of the community.
The proposed ordinance can be found on the Village’s website, elkrapids.org or a copy can be viewed during normal business hours at the Government Center. Citizens are invited to attend this hearing to speak either pro or con on this matter. Written comments can be directed to the Village of Elk Rapids, 315 Bridge Street, P.O.
