SHORELINE MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR (MI HEALTHY CLIMATE CORPS) APPLICATIONS DUE JANUARY 21 FOR THE VILLAGE OF ELK RAPIDS

The Village of Elk Rapids is searching for someone to support the Elk Rapids team as the Elk Rapids Shoreline Management Coordinator.  This position will be under the guidance and control of the MI Healthy Climate (MHC) Corps.  This position will provide the right candidate with a leadership opportunity to make a big impact in our community, provide personal and professional development, build lasting relationships, and enhance skill sets.

The MHC Corps member will serve approximately 40 hours per week until the total of 1,200 hours during the service term is completed. The job starts on March 18, 2024, and ends on November 15, 2024.  Individuals must be 18 years old to serve; no degree or formal work experience is required.

The MI Healthy Climate Corps program was established by the MI Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) as an innovative approach to advance the goals of Governor Whitmer’s MI Healthy Climate Plan; and will be administered by the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM).
