The Village of Elk Rapids is scheduled to have the Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday June 10, 2023. Please put items out the night before as Green For Life Inc. (formerly American Waste) will be out starting at 7 a.m. to collect.

Here is some information for you to know:

• This service is for Village residents only.
• This is a residential service only. Excluded from pick-up are private streets, condominiums, mobile home parks, and commercial enterprises.
• All materials must be stacked neatly and placed behind the curb line no later than 7:00 a.m. on June 10th.
• No alley pick-up.
• Please do not place materials out earlier than June 8th.
• No household garbage shall be placed with spring clean-up refuse.
• Building materials must be neatly stacked.
• White goods will be accepted. Refrigeration must have certification attached verifying removal of refrigerant by a licensed vendor.
• Refrigerator and freezer doors must be removed.
• Nothing heavier than what 2 individuals can pick-up, i.e., piano.

EXCLUDED from curb side pick-up: batteries, paint cans, rocks, asphalt, concrete, brush, yard waste, and all hazardous waste such as chemicals, herbicides, and insecticides. These materials will not be picked up and it will be the owner’s responsibility to remove them from the street right of way.
